From Mrs. Peters...

This year the library experience will be new for all of the students.  They will be visiting the library twice a week, 25 minutes each visit.  One day will be for selecting new books and the other day we will be reading together and doing other activities.  A letter will be sent home the first full week of school to let you know what day of the week your student will select books.

As always, I need your help in explaining to your child that their library books need to be kept in a safe place (backpack) and return them each week.  This helps them develop a sense of responsibility and will also make their library time more enjoyable when they can check out different books.  If their books are not returned on their designated book day, the student will not be able to check out books that week.

It is our policy, as in all libraries, that if the book is lost or damaged the student must pay for the book.  The cost of a new, library bound book varies from $12.00 - $25.00.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at school.
