The front of 5th Street School on a sunny day.

Important – Please read if your child has brought any medication to school this school year.   Rules and regulations prohibit medication to be sent home with students in Gr. K-8.  Unused medicine for students in those grades must be picked up by the student’s parent/guardian or an individual (over 18 years of age), authorized in writing by the parents for medication pick up.  This would include all medications-prescription medications, inhalers, and non-prescription medication, including cough drops, ointments, eye drops, and Tylenol, etc.  We realize this is an inconvenience for our parents/guardians but it is for the safety of our students and our environment.  Medication may be picked up during school hours only.  No medication will be disbursed after 3:00 PM Monday thru Friday. (The last day of school no medication will be dispensed after 12:30 PM.)  Any medication remaining after the students’ last day of attendance for the school year will be taken to the sheriff’s department for safe keeping until the county’s next medication collection day.  Please feel free to call Fifth Street  Elementary at 482-1406 for any questions regarding this matter.
