General Announcements:

This Day in History - March 23, 1775: Patrick Henry addresses the Virginia Convention and inspires a revolution:  "I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!"

Any 8th grade student interested in trying out for the Jasper High School Dance Team may pick up an information sheet, in the office.

8th grade homeroom teachers, please send your forms for 8th grade T-shirt sizes for each student to the office by noon today.

JMS FUEL Club will meet after announcements during homeroom today in room 616.  Students should bring their backpacks-they will return to class shortly after.

JMS Color Guard members interested in attending the Derby Parade need to turn in their forms to Mrs. Grant by the end of the day.

6th graders.  Use the homeroom time today to clean out your locker so that you are prepared for the last quarter.  There will be extra trash cans to help you.

8th Graders remember to turn your green permission slip for the April 3rd Job Shadow experience into your homeroom teacher by this Friday.  If you have lost it you may get another copy from Mrs. Maxey.

All 8th graders should report to auditorium if you are not there already.

This Day in History - 1765 The British government imposes the Stamp Act on the American colonies, increasing the tension between the colonists and the King.

Plastic Pollution Facts -The Kimball Industries recycling facility recycles over 5 million pounds of material every year, plastics are a large part of this amount.
