GJCS augments the educational program of disadvantaged and similar students by the use of Federal funds and in accordance with Title I. Title I funds are used to augment state and local funds at Fifth Street Elementary and Tenth Street Elementary. Both schools utilize a tiered approach in reading to meet the unique needs of students. Formative assessments such as mCLASS and Acuity provide the necessary benchmark and progress monitoring necessary to fully differentiate and remediate student learning.
